Portsmouth Distillery based out of Fort Cumberland have produced England’s first ever 3-Year-Old Rum, made from scratch!
Unlike most UK rums, Portsmouth uses sugar cane (rather than molasses) to produce their rum, leading to a more aromatic, complex and nuanced style.
This exciting new release, the 1812 Cask Aged Rum, has spent 3 years maturing in ex-Bourbon barrels, 100m from the sea.
Nose: Sweet green banana, nutmeg, creamy vanilla and minty pepper
Palate: Warm manuka honey, toasty vanilla and pistaccio nuttiness
Finish: Long, smooth, sweet and deliicously more-ish
