Montlouis sits on the opposite bank of the Loire to the more famous Vouvray appellation and as with Vouvray it specialises in Chenin Blanc. The Cabotines is a dry, organic Chenin brimming with baked apple but also crisp acidity. 14 months on large oak barrels has allowed the wine to flesh out a bit. A great Chardonnay alternative.
