Ornellaia’s character is one of a richer, more luscious style than its prominent neighbours. Merlot (32%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (34%) are the dominant grapes providing the sumptuous fruit flavours which are backed up by Petit Verdot (20%) and Cabernet Franc (14%) contributing perfume and spice to the final blend. Fermented separately in stainless steel tanks then matured for 12 months in barriques before being blended and returned to barrel for a further 6 months. The wine is left in bottle for 1 year prior to release. This is a wine that will require a little patience, but it will be worth it, we promise. Drink from 2020. Limited Availability
