Join us in the Overton Shop for 4 nights in October to have some fun and learn about wine.
All Tuesdays - 3rd/17th/24th/31st October
the aim is to give us all increased confidence with regard to:
History of Wine
Production of Wine
Main Countries & Regions
Major and a few minor grape varieties
How to taste wine
Food & Wine Matching
We will provide all the glassware, food, wines (up to 10 wines per session) and course notes.
Wines served will have a retail value between £10 and £30 per bottle which gives you the opportunity to taste good quality wines that have been made in an unhurried and attentive way. We shall include sparkling, sweet and fortified wines and each evening we will open both red and white wines.
At each evening there will be a Waitrose picnic spread of food – so there is no need for you to eat beforehand – and we shall use the food to help taste the wines. For the final evening on 31st October our chef Steve will prepare some hot tapas dishes since we shall make that our main food and wine matching session.
