Certainly the only Sangiovese wine from the Klein Karoo available in the UK, the wine exhibits classic generous jammy notes of cranberry and redcurrant, very gentle tannins and a delicious lick of cool climate acidity – enabled by the cold mountain air that cascades every night down the slopes of the Swartberg Mountains. Six months in old French barriques has gently seasoned and softened the wine, making this appealing and easy on the palate and the perfect partner to roasted vegetables, and both white and red meats.
