Rather than name their top wine Riserva they have applied the date that the Tricerchi Castle was founded – 1441 – making only 2000 bottles or just 333 half dozen cases.  The oldest vines and taken from their finest casks, the winemaking is similar to the straight Brunello but the concentration is more intense and the time in the decanter needs to be doubled.
