Surrounded by mountains, the Crocodile’s Lair vineyard is hidden away in the Elands Kloof Valley. It is located 700m above sea level so the fruit ripens a month later than other Cape Chardonnays. The flavours are rich but balanced with a minerality and clean acidity thanks to the altitude. Apple, melon, Kiwi fruit and a dash of vanilla from the French oak barrels the wine is matured in. To be enjoyed in its youth or cellared and allowed to evolve. 13.5%
