Cask: 1st fill Ex-Bourbon, 5-Year-Old
Distilled using 100% Scottish Concerto Barley in 2016, peated to 137.3 PPM, the new Octomore 13.1 is matured in a soft ex-Bourbon barrel in order to express the fruity, bold, and tar-smoke flavours of the barley. This has a billowing peat smoke, but dig a little deeper and you'll find sweet nutty, barley sugar, ripe pear and vanilla notes too, alongside oaky honey and earthy spice.
