Confession is a vinous exploration of the Bot-River area in the Cape South Coast, South Africa. Our winemaking philosophy is of minimal intervention to produce a unique terroir driven wine.
The grapes were handpicked overnight. 40% was left whole bunch and the grapes were left soaking for 4 days. Spontaneous fermentation happened in open-top tanks and the wine was matured for 11 months, using 30% new French oak barrels.
Tasting Note: Rose and cherry with raspberry.Light bodied, crunchy and fresh with more bright red fruit on the palate. A grippy, saline and moreish finish. Lengthy and refined. Drink now or keep for up to 8 more years.
