Bottle of 2017 Yarra Yering Agincourt - Caviste Wine

2017 Yarra Yering Agincourt

£65.00

Planted in 1969, the unirrigated vines at our Yarra Valley vineyard produce elegant, complex and powerful wines. Approachable as young wines, they have the ability to develop in the bottle for many years. Yarra Yering is one of Australia’s most iconic wineries with an outstanding international reputation.

The fruit for Yarra Yering Agincourt was hand-harvested, crushed and de-stemmed into half-tonne open fermenters. Hand-plunged twice daily with some extended time on skins to soften the Cabernet tannins. Basket pressing and malolactic fermentation in 2 year old, French (Bordeaux), barrels for 12 months.

Tasting Note: Delightful, intriguing and amazing! Perfume is the signature of this wine with lifted bramble, redcurrant and mixed berry fruits. Bright fruit flavours include mulberries, blackberries and blueberries. Fresh cut box hedge bringing a leafy lift. Lots of tannins dancing around the palate comfortably sit with an elegant fruit drive. The Malbec component bringing an energy and bright crunch to the wine. The aromatics and accessible fruit palate make this a deliciously approachable Cabernet blend.
