The mountains and forests of the Jura in Eastern France enjoy relative unknown status in the eyes of the British, as do their unique wines with own unique grapes, heritage and flavours.
Following Mark’s visit to the region in May, Caviste has shipped an enviable range of wines from Benoit Badoz including Crémant, Vin Jaune, Vin de Paille and a range of dry whites (Savagnin & Chardonnay) and reds (Trousseau & Pinot Noir).
These wines need to be tasted and enjoyed alongside food similar to that of the region, so we shall serve a charcuterie board that includes Comté cheese and a hot supper prepared with local game, with a vegetarian option.
