This a wonderful wine for red meat and perfectly accompanies roast lamb or a BBQ. Vibrant cherry and red fruit on the nose with a juicy, lifted palate. 55% Corvina; 30% Rondinella; 15% Molinara. Unusually for Valpolicella the grapes for this wine are semi dried after harvesting, like its big brothers Ripasso and Amarone, which adds a depth of richness not normally found in basic Valpolicella. The nose and palate carry rich floral aromas of violets and roses and powerful fruity flavours of sour black cherries with a hint of spice on the palate. 13%
