Nicolas Cheveau is one of Caviste's favourite producers. His style is one of elegance and restraint, and his wines show both finesse and concentration. His vineyards cover Pouilly and Mâcon with a few hectares of St Véran and even Beaujolais Villages. He is one of the most meticulous wine makers we have met and to be in the vineyards around the Roche de Solutré is an object lesson in allowing terroir to speak and man to keep quiet.
