6 Bottle Case
The young Damien Livera has made an outstanding collection of wines that combine (in his words) the best of 2009 and 2010. Harvest was easy and completed before the rains arrived on 12th September. These are generous, bold, sweet and muscular wines and have not been fined or filtered. The Côte de Nuits Villages is a bargain and tastes as though it should be a full village Gevrey! En Champs has very thin top soil so the vines go straight into the limestone giving a wonderful complex minerality into the fruit. Clos Villages lies just below the fabled Clos St Jacques, while the Chapelle-Chambertin is a piece of poetry from a lieu dit vineyard planted in 1952.
