Ripe plum notes entwined with liquorice & spiced elements on the nose followed by a medium-bodied palate, reflecting its’ cool-climate origins, dark peppery fruits and silky tannins. The grapes that make up this wine are a blend of the 1969 “old vine” plantings and the 2000 “young vine” plantings.  Matured in 100% aged French oak barrels for 15 months prior to bottling. 13%
