The 'tears of an angel' is what Larmes Celestes roughly translates as. When you drink this for the first time it all becomes clear; the Larmes is a late harvest sweet wine, but it has a tad more acidity than, say, a Sauternes or a Monbazillac. Its Pyrenean location and climate help keep this wine a little lighter and have less residual sugar than the better known sweet wines further north.
